Gig Etiquette
Golden Rules
- Uphold Reputation: Maintain the group's professional and fun reputation at all times.
- "Ready and Silent": Tune up and set up equipment quickly, then keep quiet until the music starts.
- Practice Regularly: Attend practice to ensure mastery of the full, rotating set list.
- Respect the Event: Minimise noise before and between songs; the event is not always focused on us!
- Personal Music: Bring your own music; Please do not rely on sharing.
- Engage the Crowd: Look up, smile, and engage with the audience to share your enjoyment!
- No On-Stage Chat: Do not chat before or between songs, this can be heard on any microphones! And never join the stage once a song has started.
- Respect the Technical Zone: Stay off the stage area and keep all gear back until the Leader directs setup.
- Safety and Coordination First: Watch out for cables (don't trip!) and offer help setting up/down, but always get agreement first.
- Fair Gig Selection: Accept that the organizer will select based on availability and ability to share high-profile gigs. If disappointed, discuss it with the committee, but respect the final decision.
