Pompey Pluckers: Portsmouth's very own community ukulele group.  Over the years, we've performed over 750 times and collected over £73,000 for local charities.  We're a diverse group of people living in and around Portsmouth UK, who love playing the ukulele and welcome new members of any ability. 

WEEKLY MEETINGS

MONDAYS: 7:00 pm  Phoenix Pub (Garden Room) 13 Duncan Rd, Southsea, PO5 2QU - Sing song night - Players welcome

THURSDAYs: 7:00 p.m. The Old House at Home Locksway Road, Milton, PO4 8JR - Sing a long till 8:00, then new stuff, song development + gig practice

We're supporting these local charities in 2023 and 2024:

Solent Diabetes Association (SDA)   (Charity No. 1141865)

Provide relief and welfare for those with diabetes ( and their families), and its related complications.  Promote research into the nature, causes, prevention and treatment of diabetes, including self-management. Promote education and increasing public awareness of diabetes.

Moving On Portsmouth Project   (Charity No. 1185356)

A small local registered charity working with many service providers to ensure residents taking on a new tenancy or are experiencing financial difficulties have access to good clean serviceable secondhand furniture and household items.

2023 Pompey Pluckers donating £2,750 each to Solent Diabets Association and  Moving On Project - Portsmouth

In 2022, Pompey Pluckers donated £15,750 to the three charities above which provide vital services to a wide range of people locally.

Pompey Pluckers donating £9,000 towards the Da Vinci arm used for non-cancer keyhole operations, with a built in camera and the ability to tie knots within the body!! An amazing thing for our local populaltion to have access to...
